When you eat too many acidic foods, you can damage your teeth.  There are plenty of foods and drinks that can cause harm to your precious set of pearly whites.

If you enjoy acidic foods, you must be careful as the acid can damage the enamel on your teeth if you decide to indulge too much.  Taking care of your pearly whites starts with ingesting the right types of foods and drinks.  When you are aware of what foods and beverages damage your teeth, you can begin to avoid these and give your teeth a break from destruction by making changes to your diet.

Once you harm the enamel on your teeth, you cannot get it back. As it is, we only have one set of teeth which is why it is essential to take care of the teeth that we have.

Of course, it may be hard to cut acidic foods and drinks out of your diet completely, but if you limit them, you will be able to keep your teeth looking and feeling lovely.

Always see your dentist for a cleaning twice a year

Changing your diet can do wonders for your oral health as long as you brush and floss them twice a day and see a dentist two times a year for your routine check-ups.

Foods that are good and nourishing for your teeth include vegetables, some fruits, nuts, dairy, and lean meats. Once you change the way you eat, you will be able to notice a huge difference.

If you have to eat or drink the acidic foods above, it is a good idea to rinse your mouth with water immediately after you indulge. If you can, brush your teeth right after, this will limit the acidic damage that your teeth are enduring.
